My Heart

My heart lay in a Canyon,
Her echo rings forlorn.
Her river runs, as yet un-sailed,
And beats on, all alone.

My soul rests on a foreign coast,
She cries herself to sleep.
And as she keeps her constant watch,
My soul does stand alone.

My mind floats in an empty void,
Where stars have yet to shine.
For comfort, how she pleas and hopes,
But still, she drifts alone.

I stand here, in a crowded room,
I smile my broken smile.
My closest friends are still too far,
So here I stand, alone.
